Grandfather mountain, where my grandmother was born in North Carolina (Cherokee territory).
Kacie Hagenseiker - Jones
I've always been into nature, animals, art, creating and thinking.
I do feel the closest to my ancestors when in nature.
We all see things differently.
It's part of what makes us unique.
One of my ancestors was named Esther Ruby (her English married name).
Her given Cherokee name was Anagalisgv which means "lightning touched her."
She got that name from the white streak in the back of her hair
that grew after she was hit by lightning as a kid.
My surname - Hagenseiker means "forges iron in woods" in old German.
My Dad and his father and fathers before them were metal workers.
